University Liaison Assistant Volunteer

9Trees is a non-profit, community interest company working to fight the climate crisis by helping individuals and businesses balance their carbon footprints by planting trees. Set up in 2019, our ethos is to plant 9 trees, per person, per year, to create biodiverse broadleaf woodlands across the UK. These woodlands are then managed sustainably and sensitively in regards to other priority habitats, and in partnership with landowners and businesses, for 50 years, and to ensure valuable habitats for threatened wildlife are maintained and carbon is captured well into the future.

As part of our team, we are recruiting a university liaison assistant, to help forge and maintain productive relationships with universities across the UK, to help recruit students and volunteers to work with 9Trees. These connections with universities not only create opportunities for students to get valuable work experience and broaden their skillset, it also helps 9Trees spread our message and encourage greater interactions and relationships with universities, local communities and businesses. These connections then help draw in revenue that can be used to plant more trees across the UK, furthering our impact and contributions in tackling climate change. As the number of universities 9Trees works with grows, a university liaison assistant is needed to help manage generated admin and further increase the number of universities engaged.
