Days of Discovery
Days of Discovery is our exciting program of events that welcomes you to our woodlands for wellbeing, education and relaxation.
BioBlitz - with Joe Botting
Join us at our woodlands across South Wales to discover our trees and the species they support. We will be joined by local expert Joe Botting who will be leading us on a tour of the site identifying all the species our trees support.
Joe is an entomologist (and palaeontologist) living in Llandrindod who is a specialist in various groups of insects and other invertebrates. In particular, he created the website britishbugs.org.uk, a standard reference on Hemiptera, but also studies many poorly known and overlooked groups. He runs the community pan-species project Wild Llandrindod, performs entomology surveys for organisations such as Trees for Life, and identifies soil mesofauna for Natural England's Long-Term Monitoring Network.
