A huge thank you to our business partners, loyal subscribers, and generous one-off donors who’ve helped us reach this milestone. Together, we’ve planted over 17,000 trees—and this is only the beginning.

Our young trees are thriving thanks to the recent downpours, nurturing them as they grow into the biodiverse woodlands of the future.

We’re proud to be finalists for the Environment 100 Award at this year’s Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS Expo).

🎶 Philosophy & Music at HowTheLightGetsIn festival

Next, we’re heading to London for the world’s largest philosophy and music festival — How The Light Gets In.

📍 Kenwood House, Hampstead Heath
📅 Saturday 20 – Sunday 21 September 2025

This will be our third year at the festival, and we’ll be talking trees & running drop-in mindfulness workshops — come find us!

Festival Highlights:

300+ events, 150 speakers & performers, 12 stages
Leading thinkers including John Gray, Sabine Hossenfelder, Alain de Botton, Roger Penrose, Mary Trump, Diane Abbott, Max Tegmark, Terry Eagleton, Curtis Yarvin and many more.
The music programme will be led by Joe Goddard of Hot Chip, Zero 7, Molotov Jukebox, Ella Clayton, Baba Ali, Chinwe, Tom Robinson, Deptford Northern Soul Club, Fyfe Dangerfield, and Ruth Lyon. These performers span a vibrant range—from electronic pop to soulful vocalists, creating a rolling festival soundtrack to match the big ideas on stage.
A unique blend of philosophy, debate, live music, comedy, and cultural connection.

🌱 Volunteering Across Our 12 UK Sites

From Derbyshire to Devon, our woodlands are flourishing thanks to volunteer power. Recently, at our Derbyshire site, the annual Tree Survey & Woodland Management Day brought people together for a hands-on day of conservation.

🌲 Silver Birch already 12 feet tall, standing proud
🍒 Cherry, Blackthorn, Sweet Chestnut, Pussy Willow & Alder thriving
🦋 Bees & butterflies feasting on thistles
🌳 Yew trees holding timeless and steady
🌰 Hazel pushing through & the slow oaks are reaching for the sky!

☀️ The day wrapped up with laughter, shared stories, and a well-earned drink — proof that volunteering isn’t just about woodland care, but community too.
