Office manager

Office manager

Are you a red-hot whizz on emails with a knack for organisation? If so, we’d really appreciate your help as our office manager, keeping all the emails and records neat and tidy.

Role description

You will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of general administration e.g. answering and following up on email queries, helping set up meetings, and tidying up Google drive folders.

You will also assist the directors in improving existing procedures and workflow, ensuring that spreadsheets are kept up-to-date.

Person specification

You will need strong organisational and inter-personal skills to liaise with the rest of team and email contacts. You will also need strong communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Prior experience in an administration role is desirable.

ambassador

Ambassador/Representative

Do you have a passion for nature and conservation? If so, we invite you to us as an ambassador and help spread awareness of our mission.

Role description

Your will be responsible for promoting our organisation and its mission in your local area. You will be responsible for establishing connections with community groups, businesses, and schools to raise awareness of 9Trees and the opportunities we offer. Your work will involve promoting our brand, engaging with individuals and organisations interested in our work and activities that will help increase subscriptions and support for our cause. The exact nature of your role and activities will be determined in initial meetings with 9Trees team members.

Person specification

You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for nature and conservation. You should be highly organised, proactive, and have a good work ethic. Previous experience engaging with people and being computer literate is desirable, as is knowledge of sustainability and habitat management.

Flexible, but a minimum of 5 hours per week.

web developer assistant role

Web developer assistant

Are you looking to kick-start your career as a web developer? We are seeking dynamic individuals to maintain and improve our website.

Role description

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our website, working with Squarespace and our website developer to create a user-friendly, professional, and functional platform. Your tasks will include identifying areas for improvement, suggesting content ideas, assisting with the copy, design, and layout of the website, and keeping it up-to-date, liaising with copywriters, graphic designers, and the web developer to ensure tasks are completed on time.

Person specification

You will need a basic working knowledge of a range of software and operating systems, demonstrable experience using Squarespace or similar, excellent attention to detail, a flexible approach, an understanding of branding principles. It would be desirable if you have knowledge of user experience best practices, typography, and colour theory.

Events coordinator role

Events coordinator

Driven by creating exciting events that bring people together and get people talking? If so, you could be the perfect fit for our events coordinator role.

Role description

You will be responsible for helping with all aspects of event logistics. This could include identifying potential events, keeping an organised timeline of events, managing promotions and communications with the event holder, planning event activities, arranging event transport and food, and assisting with housekeeping duties during the event.

Person specification

You will need strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent organisation, with the ability to keep track of multiple priorities at once. A relaxed, personable and enthusiastic manner is also needed.

Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not necessary.

Blog coordinator assistant role

Blog coordinator assistant

Do you have a talent for creating engaging stories coupled and a strong passion for the environment? If so, we’d love to have your help recruiting writers and getting our blogs into the public eye!

Role description

You will be responsible for reaching out to new writers, managing who writers what, and supporting writers and editing their work. Most importantly, you will be responsible for encouraging other platforms to share our blogs and so increase their readership. You will also have the opportunity to write your own blogs.

Person specification

You will need good inter-personal and organisational skills to manage and recruit writers, keep track of which blogs are being written, and which platforms have been contacted to share our work.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) is also necessary and demonstrable experience in blog writing/ editing is very desirable.

Regional representative role

Regional representative

Are you interested in helping new landowners to partner with 9Trees? If so, we’d love to have you on board so that we can get as many trees planted as possible, in regions across the UK.

Role description

You will be responsible for reaching out to new landowners in your local region and encouraging them to partner with 9Trees. This will involve identifying landowners who might be interested in our work, helping to be the ‘voice’ of 9Trees in your local area, and liaising with landowners so that we can plant trees on their land.

Person specification

You will need fantastic communication, inter-personal and organisational skills to bring landowners on board with our mission, and to maintain these relationships into the long-term.

Prior experience in an administration role (customer service etc.) is desirable but not necessary.
